Tissue scaffolds and biomaterials for drug delivery and treatment

Dr Ruman Rahman, from the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre

Our novel scaffolds are supporting bone and tissue regeneration, helping the body's own healing processes. We are also using these scaffolds and other new biomaterials for drug delivery, carrying drugs precisely where they are needed in the body and controlling their release for optimal treatment.
