Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust invites you to network with its clinicians at

Last June we gathered in Derby for the second "Engineering Better Health" event.

Around 45  delegates registered for the above event which was attended by engineering colleagues (including experts in tissue engineering, software development, 3D printing, specialist materials etc.) from Loughborough University, University of Nottingham, University of Derby, Nottingham Trent University and De Montfort University.

They were joined by clinicians from across the Trust, several of whom had specific clinical "problems" for which they wished to explore solutions. Other clinicians had ideas for new innovations on the day, sparked by the 2-minute presentations and discussions and numerous, new collaborations were forged during the "Speed Networking" session.

The expertise at both events has been remarkable.

For all who attended it proved to be a highly successful event and attendees reported that they had found it to be a rewarding experience with numerous, new collaborations being forged and innovation project work/development/research initiated.

This year  presentations will include case studies by previous attendees  with details of the successful collaborations that have been formed, the "highs and lows" and progress to date.
